HERE’S WHAT YOUR DAY COULD LOOK LIKE:
- Coordinate various interventions and communications with suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturers, planners, vendors, and other stakeholders;
- Evaluate costs and analyze technical plans to identify issues;
- Monitor standards and options in terms of cost prices and supply capacity;
- Develop tools and procedures to improve purchasing processes, based on best business practices;
- Proactively submit savings initiatives and cost optimization opportunities;
- Participate in continuous improvement projects;
- Participate in the establishment and implementation of the procurement strategy;
- Negotiate prices and terms of Payments to suppliers
- Analyze purchasing history
- Track orders.
- Manage non-conformities with suppliers and internal customers
- Review received bids and negotiate contracts within budgetary limits, according to the authority granted.
- Perform any other related tasks required by the position.
DO YOU HAVE THESE QUALIFICATIONS?
- College diploma in purchasing, procurement, or GOP or equivalent experience;
- AutoCAD training, an asset;
- Relevant experience in purchasing building materials;
- Demonstrates good team spirit;
- Excellent communication skills Negotiation;
- Knowledge of the construction industry, an asset;
- Excellent command of French;
- Able to work independently and solve practical problems;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office;
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
